I have tales of poop. As a mom this is no surprise to you, but it was a bit of a surprise just how many tales I would have as a new mom. Some days I can write you a tale of a happy and bouncing baby. He sings songs in the shining sun, and dances in a downpour of shimmery hearts while little pink unicorns stop to drink out of fountains full of lemonade. Other days I have novels of teething and tantrums from a baby who fights naps. It is all in the day in the life of a mama. And how lucky are we to have these stories? VERY!

I'm also very lucky to have a partner in crime to share these fables with: my husband Gus.

I can't see going through the crazy story of parenthood without him! I suggest we all take the time to create a strong bond with our partners, because they really can be the thing that gives us the extra pep in our steps on those hard days.

As I write this my husband is on the floor beat-boxing to our son. He has a crazy since of humor. Our house is always full of the sound of  Chewbacca noises, music, laughter, and robot sound effects thanks to him. He is the type of guy who comes home from a hard day's work and instead of vegging out in front of the TV, he gives me a long kiss and then plays with our son while I cook dinner. I love watching them interact. Dare I say that my husband's sense of humor is the thing I can't picture this crazy ride without.

Instead of frustration when we had those tales of poop, he made a joke about it and helped me clean up.

When Blip wakes up way too early in the morning he lets me sleep a bit longer, I can often hear laughter through the monitor as they play their secret games.

He back wraps Blip at the grocery store and takes his time showing him all the colorful fruits.

Every night after we read Blip a story and breastfeed him. Then my husband takes Blip and paces with him till he is asleep. The man has magic hands when it comes to getting the baby to sleep.

And to wrap it all up he is never too busy to give me a hug and say something funny to lighten the mood. After all this he still has time for just me and goes out of his way to make me feel special.

All these little things make life so much happier and amazing. They may seem tiny, but they make all the difference for me.
