Sneak a Snack: Banana Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
Being a Stay at Home Mom in a one car family means that you get excited easy. Going to the grocery store or the post office is suddenly a big Broadway production. I sing show tunes while I do my hair and makeup...true story!
Public is an exciting place to be. I get to see people and interact with other adults in passing. It is refreshing to just get out of the house.
Do you know what else is refreshing?
Using bananas as an excuse to go to the store.
And also yummy cookies that don't contain extra sugar or butter!
Chocolate is also refreshing, especially when you know it is the only "bad" thing in the delicious cookie. I also like cinnamon...
I suppose you could even leave out the chocolate in the quest to refresh and make life more healthy. But that may be overkill...indulgence is a must in my book.
At any rate relax and go to the store. Come home and make some cookies. Sneak some dough while you are at it, no raw eggs to stop you...not that raw eggs ever do!
3 Bananas (Very Ripe)
1 Cup Dried Dates, pitted and chopped
1/4 Cup Oil
1/2 Tsp Cinnamon
1/2 Cup Chocolate Chips
1/4 Tsp Salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mash bananas in a bowl before adding all the other ingredients.
Sit aside for 10 minutes.
Using a tablespoon scoop batter onto parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake for 25 Minutes.
